Interdistrict Transfer (IDT)
Failure to meet the District's IDT timelines shall be deemed an abandonment of the parent's request.
The District will:
a) notify a parent submitting a current year request of its final decision within 30 calendar days from the date the request was received
b) notify a parent submitting a future year request of its final decision as soon as possible, but no later than 14 calendar days after the commencement of instruction in the school year for which an IDT is sought.
For an IDT request received by the district 15 or fewer calendar days before the commencement of instruction in the school year for which the transfer is sought, the district will notify the parent/guardian of its final decision within 30 calendar days from the date the request was received.
For an IDT request received by the district more than 15 days before the commencement of instruction in the school year for which the an IDT is sought, the district will notify the parent/guardian of its final decision as soon as possible, but no later than 14 calendar days after the commencement of instruction in the school year for which transfer is sought.
1. The student engages in any student misconduct, including but not limited to, the violation of law, school rules or school directives, whether or not such misconduct constitutes a violation of Education Code Section 48900, et seq.;
2. The student fails to maintain a satisfactory record of attendance, including timely attendance;
3. The student fails to maintain grades of “2.0” or better in all classes. “D”, “F”, “Incomplete”, or “No Mark” are all considered unsatisfactory grades;
4. The student has one or more unexcused or unauthorized absences.
5. The attendance of the student would violate class size limits pursuant to the District’s Administrative Regulations;
6. The attendance of the student would displace a resident pupil in light of class size limitations or other considerations;
7. The attendance of the student would require the addition of a special program, service or class, which would constitute a fundamental change in the delivery of student services.
8. The attendance of the student would violate the cap, if any, on the number of transfers set forth in Education Code Section 48204(f)(6).

- parents/guardian are responsible for providing transportation for their child to and from CUHS.
- the District may place their student in a particular class within the District at its discretion, and the District may make this placement after consideration of availability of space in a class.
- the District may change their student’s initial placement as concerns regarding availability of space change.
- their student will not be permitted to displace a student residing within the District.
- interdistrict transfer permits must be renewed annually
- the failure by parents/guardians or their student to abide and follow the conditions contained in the Student Contract on a daily basis may result in the unilateral rescission of the Interdistrict transfer permit and the necessity of their child attending school in their district of residence.
